Book Description

I’ve been working on the description for my new book. Here’s what’s going on the back cover:

‘Of Meadows and Flowers’ is a collection of poems of and by a troubled youth. Patricia Larsted invites the reader inside her tormented world as she struggles to keep ahold of her sanity during some difficult teenage years.

This is a book about crying. About hearing voices. About being lonely. But most of all — it’s a story of hope — as the author shows us that even if you want to scream or cry or cut or die, life is always worth living.

Writing A Book

I’m working on writing a book. It’s called Of Meadows and Flowers: and Crying and Hope. It’s full of poetry, some of which will show up here. The title is such because of one of my first poems I showed my father. He sat down with me and said “You have to promise me that this poem will end up in your first publication, even if it’s all about meadows and flowers.” At the time, neither of us knew how this book would turn out.
